Hi! My name is Isabella, and I am a gym instructor based in Canada. I created this blog to help inspire anyone who’s set their mind to improving their life by achieving one that’s authentic, bold, and ultimately, happy through a healthy lifestyle.
A few years back, I struggled every day because of my weight. I had trouble carrying out simple chores as I had difficulty breathing, I would find it difficult coping with sudden physical activity and felt exhausted every day. It also affected the way I interacted with other people because I had low self-esteem and confidence and often felt isolated and alone.
Since it already affected my day-to-day activities, I decided to take a step back and assess myself. I needed to regain the confidence that I lost, and that’s the time I realized that I should revitalize myself through exercise and proper nutrition!
As someone who used to have weight issues, I’ve always been passionate about empowering people to lead their best lives through fitness. I discovered that the idea of keeping fit is about nourishing the mind, body, and spirit with reverberating energy to create a lifestyle where anyone can become a superhero in their own right.
It’s more than just following a system where proper diet, maintenance, and exercise is a priority. It’s about the motivation and willpower for you to know what’s best for you.
After a few years of training myself and my clients, I believe it’s now the time to share my story with the world.
Are you ready to take the ride with me?
What My Fit Station Is All About
This isn’t your typical fitness blog – I want to inspire you to create an authentic, bold & rewarding life where you get to celebrate your full potential and stand up to take your real power!
It can be summed up in a few basic, yet powerful notions:
- Move your body – we fellow humans were designed to MOVE, to be active, to sweat, tense our muscles, stretch – it’s no secret. There is no need to overcomplicate fitness when, in fact, it all starts with MOVEMENT. It’s a beautiful thing & it is truly essential for proper brain function, hormonal balance, happiness & optimal health. Dance, run, skate, hula hoop, lift heavy shit, flow into your Vinyasa – whatever gets your groove on!
- Fuel your Body – Once again, an area where many people feel overwhelmed, confused & even frustrated is diet & nutrition. We have been over flooded with countless theories, concepts & philosophies contradicting one another on how we should be eating, we’ve become masters at complicating the most natural and straightforward thing – nourishing ourselves. My advice? Just Eat Real Food (most of the time) – there is no way our bodies can function without proper fuel & we wonder how in the world we’ve become so sick, fat and depressed? The BS stops here. Simplify, honey – JERF (Just Eat Real Food)!
- Live a life of Purpose & Excitement – Hell yeah, this one is just as essential to designing an experience that you freakin’ LOVE! Don’t be ashamed of having a desire for more; more meaning, more abundance, more connection, more FUN! Remember all those things you wanted to do in life, it’s time to get out there and DO them, honey!
- Love thy Self – it all boils down to honoring & embracing yourself as a whole. Screw the fad diets, the quick fixes, the meaningless hunt for outer approval and start celebrating yourself unapologetically! Gotta love yourself first #selflove is the best love peeps!

About The Team
Henry J. Mitchell (Public Relations Manager)
Even as a fitness buff, it came to the point that I started dragging myself to the gym so that I can maintain a healthy weight. Then, when I became a part of the My Fit Station team and it was here that I realized it doesn’t have to be that way.
That’s why keeping a healthy lifestyle that’s exciting and empowering is a life mission that I will carry throughout my life, and it’s something that I will pass on to the next generation as well.
As the head of public relations of My Fit Station, I believe it’s already a step forward.
Cathy J. Grant (Content Coordinator)
I had issues with my weight after getting pregnant and soon found it hard to go back to the body I had before having a kid. I was riddled with different types of minor ailments, which ultimately led to depression.
When I joined the My Fit Station team, my whole idea of health changed. Trying to be healthy shouldn’t be an obligation; it should be fun and empowering.
I now know that looking into and writing about health and fitness should be tailor-fit to meet different types of personalities of individuals in various aspects of their journey.
Judith Mooring (Social Marketing Manager)
Everyone has different ways of keeping fit and staying healthy. That is a fact I learned as the social marketing manager here in My Fit Station.
Through the ten years working in media and marketing for various health companies, being a part of MFS has undoubtedly given me a better understanding of putting yourself first above everything else when going through your fitness journey.
Taking care of yourself shouldn’t be a burden. It should be inspiring and motivational, and as part of the core team in My Fit Station, we do our best to help you achieve that here.
